Congressional Scholar Fellowship Program
The Council has supported this program since its inception and it is a proven winner for these students and the agriculture industry. This program helps students interested in politics and agricultural issues gain great experience as they serve Georgia Congressional leadership in Washington, DC over the summer. UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences students go through an extensive and competitive interview process to earn acceptance into this scholar fellowship program. D.C. fellows attend agriculture committee hearings, prepare briefs, conduct agricultural research and meet with constituents.

In 2010, GAC supported six fellowships for congressional offices. (photo: L- R: GAC's Bryan Tolar with Fellows Zeb Duvall (Sen. Saxby Chambliss), Angie Boothe (Sen.
